Welcome
Welcome to this blog! I aim to give you an in-depth understanding of what it means to be an electrician. We'll cover everything from landing a job and meeting state requirements to completing your education. You'll learn about our daily tasks and responsibilities, and discover the job prospects and opportunities you can expect throughout your electrical career. Additionally, I'll explore how a blue-collar profession like this can shape your quality of life.
I started my electrical career in San Antonio, Texas, in 2014. During my training at Independent Electrical Contractors, I earned two Foundation Scholarships and completed a rigorous four-year program designed by electricians for electricians, featuring extensive hands-on labs.
One of my standout experiences includes spending eight months in Antarctica as an apprentice, where I was awarded the Take Flight Award for outstanding service. My career has taken me across Illinois, Texas, Idaho, and Washington, providing me with diverse and valuable experience in industrial, commercial, and residential sectors.
I hold journeyman licenses in Texas, Washington, and Idaho, as well as an Electrical Contractor license in Idaho and an inside wireman license in Texas. Currently, I am the owner of Think Winkel Electric, where I leverage my skills and expertise to deliver exceptional electrical services.
